Ron Roat is a retired journalism professor from the University of Southern Indiana. He is also a former consumer advocate, novelist, newspaper reporter, columnist, newspaper editor, and general contrarian. He now lives on Lake Michigan where he works on two books, one on what keeps students from becoming self-directed, and a novel.
